PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the detection accuracy of a detecting element fixed securely and stably to an actuator, and to promote improvements in durability. SOLUTION: A position detection sensor 10 has a holder 12 which can accommodate a sensor unit 14 in which a magnetic sensor 32 and others are located. A connecting part 22 formed on the end of the holder 12 is connected to a shaft-form mounting member 20 via a connecting bolt 40. This mounting member 20 is provided in a sensor groove 48 of a cylinder apparatus 24 in such a manner as to freely pass through the groove. After making the mounting member 20 pass through the sensor groove 48, the holder 12 and the mounting member 20 are fastened by the connecting bolt 40, and the holder 12 is fixed to the cylinder apparatus 24.
