<p>A stator (7) of an electric motor (1) includes a stator core (11) including an annular yoke (14). The stator core (11) includes a plurality of teeth (15) formed on for example, an inner periphery (141) of the yoke (14) and has a coil (13) wound on each of the teeth (15). Each of the teeth (15) includes first and second end portions (151), (152) opposed to each other in a radial direction (R) of the stator core (11). The first end portion (151) is connected to the yoke (14). The second end portion (152) is formed with an axially extending projection (15c) extending in an axial direction (S) of the stator core (11) . A coil receiving groove (19) is defined between the axially extending projection (15c) and the yoke (14). The axially extending projection (15c) includes a distal end portion (153) in the axial direction (S), and a root portion (154) adjoining a bottom (19c) of the coil receiving groove (19). In the radial direction (R), a thickness (t2) of the root portion (154) is greater than a thickness (t1) of the distal end portion (153).</p> |
