A method for updating a program of a car terminal is provided to update a plurality of car terminals in a short time by updating the program to one car terminal through the Internet and enabling other terminals to perform the program with the program, which is transmitted from the terminal, downloaded from a control center. A car terminal is turned on and connected to a web server. The web server extracts the program to be updated. The web server downloads the extracted program to the car terminal when the program to be downloaded is found. The car terminal installs the downloaded program. An information management server records program download and installation information of the car terminal before/after the installation of the update program. The car terminal transmits the downloaded program to a remote control center(S201). The control center searches the car terminal not updating the program and transmits the program to the searched car terminal(S203). The other car terminal downloads and installs the program(S205).
