The present invention relates to a pedestal dryer (120). More particularly, the present invention relates to new type of dryer for drying as a base supporting a laundry machine (110). A pedestal dryer includes a container (121) having an upper surface on which a laundry machine for washing or drying (110) is mounted, the container (121) forming a drying space in which laundry is held; a hot air supply unit (140) for supplying hot air to the drying space; and a drying degree sensing unit (301,302) for sensing a drying degree of the laundry.
