A method for processing post-issuance of smart card applications is provided to enable a customer to download/use desired service items, such as a discount, mileage, point, and information search service, of the smart card anytime, and enable a card company server to promote usage of the smart card by presenting various service items to the customer after issuance of the smart card. A server stores the smart card applications of each service item to the storage medium. The server provides a service item selection interface to a customer terminal and receives new service item selection information from the customer through the service item selection interface(225). The server extracts or checks the smart card application corresponding to the new service item selection information from the storage medium(235). The server issues the extracted or checked smart card application to the smart card of the customer after the smart card is issued to the customer(250). |
