A system for managing a grid resource and a method thereof are provided to prepare for resources for the supply and to transact the resources at a price determined via a transformed Cournot model and a reference price based multiple auction model such that a response time can be reduced when a user transacts the resources with a resource provider under a grid computing environment. A system for managing a grid resource comprises a resource providing server(100), a customer server(200) and a grid resource intermediation server(300). The resource providing server(100), including plural resource storage modules, a resource management module and a resource providing control module, provides the resource for the customer server(200) at the customer server's request for managing owned resources and supplying the resources. The customer server(200), including a resource demanding customer module and a resource demanding customer control module, receives the resources from the resource providing server(100), and determines a transaction price for the supplied resources. The grid resource intermediation server(300), including a resource demand estimation module, a price determining module and a transaction module, calculates an estimated demand quantity for the resources which the customer server demands, calculates the transaction price for the resources, manages a bidding process between the resource providing server(100) and the customer server(200), and makes the resource providing server(100) transfer the resources to the customer server(200). |
