A power supply unit is provided to control power supply voltage generation of a sub power supply part by using a primary signal in a standby mode. A DC voltage generation part generates a first DC voltage from an AC voltage. A main power supply part controls the first DC voltage, and generates a voltage to be used in a normal mode and a standby mode. A sub power supply part controls the first DC voltage, and generates a voltage to be used in the normal mode. A feedback circuit(32) feeds an output voltage of the main power supply part back. The main power supply part generates a standby mode operation signal on the basis of the output of the feedback circuit, and the standby mode operation signal interrupts the generation of a voltage of the sub power supply part.
