The invention concerns a nonwoven support, in the form of a felt or needle punched product, having a thickness ranging between 0.3 and 1 mm and a surface mass of fibres ranging between 70 and 120 g/m<SUP>2</SUP>, and the fibres are embedded in the adhesive over part of the support thickness. The tear strength of the adhesive tape is less than 15 N. The invention is useful for strapping bundles of cables in motor vehicle construction.
