A METHOD FOR RECORDING DATA ON WRITE ONCE DISC

A method for recording data on a write once disc is provided to reduce access time for reading out the updated information by writing the position information in an access information area when the updated information is written over a predetermined number in the access information area. A write once disc includes at least one temporary defect management area and a write condition area. Position information of the area where the updated information is written, is written in an access information area. The position information includes the address of the area in which the temporary defect information is written, and the address of the area in which data for a write condition test is to be written. The position information is written in the access information area when the updated information is written over a predetermined number in the access information area.
