The recalibrator (1) comprises: an admission means for the bottles (5); a rotating annular assembly (2) comprising a plurality of recesses (3) which are arranged radially and are each intended to receive a bottle in a horizontal position; means (24) for holding the bottles inside the recesses and means (23) for longitudinal compression thereof; a means (6) for driving the annular assembly in rotation; a means (27, 28) for driving the bottles themselves in rotation; a means for cooling the bottles; and a means for releasing the bottles. Application: cooling and compression of bottles in an automated bottling and packaging line.
