<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low profile/low cost piezoelectric transformer high voltage power supply by processing a piezoelectric ceramic such that a piezoelectric transformer can be mounted directly on a printed wiring board forming a high voltage power supply, and simplifying connection of the piezoelectric transformer and a wiring pattern on the printed wiring board and fixation of the piezoelectric transformer thereby achieving compaction/thinning of the piezoelectric transformer. <P>SOLUTION: Prior to mounting a piezoelectric transformer on the printed wiring board 14, the piezoelectric transformer is formed by fixing L-shaped contact metal plates 6, 7 and 8 to the electrodes 2, 3 and 4 of a piezoelectric ceramic 1. The piezoelectric transformer is contained in an opening provided in the printed wiring board 14 perpendicularly to the board plane, and then the contact metal plates 6, 7 and 8 are connected with wiring patterns 21, 22 and 23. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
