PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk device whose start time is shortened and which attains low power consumption. SOLUTION: In disconnecting the power, a first operation stop processing part 441 reads start information stored in a hard disk 101 to collate the start information with start information stored in a first nonvolatile memory area 431, rewrites contents of the first nonvolatile memory area 431 so as to store the same start information as the start information in the hard disk 101 in the first nonvolatile memory area 431 when the difference exists, writes identification information representing that the same start information as the start information in the hard disk 101 is stored in the first nonvolatile memory area 431, and in supplying the power, a first operation start processing part 442 reads the start information from the first nonvolatile memory 431 to start a notebook PC when the identification information is stored.
