<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain a vehicle in a safe condition even if the actuator of a shifting device becomes inoperative. <P>SOLUTION: A shift control mechanism 48 includes: a manual shaft 102 rotated by an actuator 42; a detent plate 100 rotated by the manual shaft 102; a rod 104 operated by rotation of the detent plate 100; a parking gear 108 secured to the output shaft of a transmission; a parking lock pole 106 for locking the parking gear 108; and an actuator 72 for locking the vehicle in an emergency. The actuator 72 comprises: a knob 72A pulled up by the driver; a rod 72B for transmitting to a plate 72C the force to pull up the knob 72A against the biasing force of a spring; and a pawl part 72D for rotating the manual shaft 102 with the plate 72C hooking the pawl part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
