PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-traveling robot which can easily and surely carry out bonding of a charging terminal part of a robot body to a charging contact point part of an external charging device. SOLUTION: The self-traveling robot is provided with the robot body 1 which has a chargeable charging battery 2 and the charging terminal part 3 and with the external charging device 4 which has a charging contact point part 5 to which the charging terminal part 3 of the robot body 1 is bonded and charges the charging battery 2. Either the charging terminal part 3 of the robot body 1 or the charging contact point part 5 of the external charging device 4 is made movable to allow the charging terminal part 3 to be bonded to the charging contact point part 5. Thereby, either the charging terminal part 3 or the charging contact point part 5 is movable, even if there is a shift between the charging terminal part 3 and the charging contact point part 5, allowing any of the charging terminal part or the charging contact point part to move for correction of the shift, thereby simply and surely putting the charging battery into a charging state.
