PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyamide fiber used for thermal bonding, which functions as an adhesive by being melt by a heat treatment at a low temperature, is capable of being used in bonding of various materials such as fibrous materials, films, etc., provides bonded materials hardly peelable and has a high bond strength. SOLUTION: This polyamide fiber consists of a single fiber having a copolyamide (polyamide A) having nylon 6, nylon 11 and nylon 12 as essential copolymerization components, and also one component selected from one component selected from nylon 66, nylon 69, nylon 610, nylon 612 and nylon 613 as constituting components, and the polyamide A exists on the surface of the fiber in a cross section obtained by being cut perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the single fiber.
