A tidal power generation device is provided to generate electrical energy by introducing tidal water from a plurality of generators from a low tide to a high tide, and generate electrical energy by discharging tidal water from the end of a high tide to a low tide. A tidal power generation device includes water channels formed into a plurality of rows and layers oriented toward a tidal water inlet direction. Each water channel has a front surface with a guide surface, and is equipped with a plurality of water wheels arranged at a constant interval. Each water wheel has a rotary shaft arranged on both walls of each water channel. The rotary shafts are connected to respective generators, and a battery for accumulating electrical energy from each generator is electrically connected to each generator. A gate(500) is mounted on a pole(501) such that an upper gate(502) and a lower gate(503) are perpendicular with each other. The pole is rotatable at an inlet and an outlet of the water channel such that the pole tightly contacts one wall of the water channel. The lower gate blocks the lower portion of the water channel when tidal water is introduced, and the upper gate blocks the upper portion of the water channel when tidal water is discharged. |
