PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray inspection system capable of effectively preventing the leak of X rays outside by adjusting the gap between a belt conveyor and the lower end part of a shield curtain. SOLUTION: The X-ray inspection system 10 is constituted so as to detect the X rays irradiating the commodity X fed through an inspection space S in a predetermined direction by a conveyor 12 to inspect the mixing with foreign matters or the like. In the case where a gap (d) is formed between the lower end part of the shield curtain 16, which is attached in order to prevent the leak of X rays outside from the inspection space S and the feed surface of the conveyor 12, a rotary roller 31 is upward moved by a height adjusting mechanism 40 to raise the feed surface of the conveyor 12.
