PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability of controlling feeding of a cleaning agent in a cleaning apparatus 60 for a printer. SOLUTION: The cleaning apparatus 60 controls driving of a pump 633 feeding the cleaning agent through a driver circuit 73 by two controlling parts 71 and 72. The two controlling parts 71 and 72 detect respectively lapse of time from a starting signal for starting feeding of the cleaning agent and send stopping signals for stopping feeding of the cleaning agent to a driver circuit 73. The driver circuit 73 stops feeding of the cleaning agent by receiving the stopping signal from at least either one of the two controlling parts 71 and 72. Thereby, even when either one of the two controlling parts 71 and 72 becomes to a condition that can not send the stopping signal, the feeding of the cleaning agent can be surely stopped.
