A preparation method of metal nanopowder is provided to prepare nanopowder having a small particle size and very narrow particle-size distribution at low cost. A preparation method of metal nanopowder comprises the steps of: supplying a nitrogen gas to evaporate a metal chloride as a raw material; and simultaneously supplying a hydrogen gas and an ammonia gas while maintaining the supply of the nitrogen gas to obtain metal nanopowder through a reduction reaction of the hydrogen gas with the evaporated metal chloride vapor. The nitrogen gas and the hydrogen gas are supplied independently. The preparation method comprises controlling a ratio of the nitrogen gas to the hydrogen gas in a range of 1:1 to 5:1, and controlling a ratio of the hydrogen gas to the ammonia gas in a range of 5:1 to 10:1. The metal chloride is one selected from nickel chloride, tungsten chloride, iron chloride, chromium chloride, and copper chloride. The preparation method comprises controlling an evaporation temperature of the nickel chloride to a range of 780 to 850 deg.C and controlling a temperature of reaction between the evaporated nickel chloride vapor and the hydrogen and ammonia gases to a range of 500 to 900 deg.C in a case where the metal chloride is nickel chloride. |
