METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR STABILIZING OPTICAL OUTPUT OF OPTICAL SWITCH

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a stable output light intensity at high speed by performing angular control of mirrors so that the output light intensity in a plurality of output ports is optimized in an optical switch.

SOLUTION: An apparatus for stabilizing an optical output of an optical switch is applied to an optical switch in which the light beam input from an arbitrary input port is continuously reflected by a plurality of mirrors and output to an arbitrary output port among the plurality of input/output ports, the apparatus detecting output light intensity in the plurality of output ports, performing angular adjustment of the plurality of mirrors in the route of each light beam in accordance with each output light intensity, and stabilizing the output light intensity of each detected output port. The apparatus is equipped with a plurality of light sources that generate control light of wavelengths different from each other and that input the control light of wavelengths different from each other to each input port of the optical switch, and is equipped with a plurality of light intensity detectors for measuring the output light intensity of the control light of the wavelength different from each other output from each output port of the optical switch.
