METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR STABILIZING OPTICAL OUTPUT OF OPTICAL SWITCH

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a stable output light intensity at high speed by performing angular control of mirrors so that the output light intensity in each output port is optimized in an optical switch.

SOLUTION: An apparatus for stabilizing optical output of an optical switch includes: a light source for generating control light to be input in the optical switch; a first selective light switch that selects one input port in a plurality of input ports of the optical switch and inputs the control light; a plurality of light intensity detector that measures each output light intensity of the respective control light output from a plurality of output ports of the optical switch; and a control means for performing angular adjustment of the mirrors on the input port side of the two mirrors on a light beam route relative to the output port A so that the output light intensity of the output port A corresponding to the input port selected by the first selective optical switch becomes larger than the output light intensity of an adjacent output port.
