PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide carbon black having high degree of contribution to positive color tone when using for a lacquer.

SOLUTION: The carbon black has an aggregate size distribution of a (d90-d10)/d50ratio of less than or equal to 1.1, preferably less than or equal to 0.8, and particularly preferably less than or equal to 0.65. As a result, the carbon black having the narrow aggregate size distribution can be produced and the absolute contribution (der absolute Farbtonbeitrag (dM)) to color tone when used for a lacquer is remarkably high.
