PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical equipment device which fixes the distal end of a device at a certain position in a body cavity or moves it to an arbitrary position without blocking the body cavity in the flexible and long medical equipment device which is used in the body cavity such as a so-called endoscope including a wire, a snare, and a viewing means and a device for shattering foreign objects such as thrombus by using a liquid jet. SOLUTION: The medical equipment device used by being inserted into the body cavity includes a long and tubular main body, a linear member which is provided in the neighborhood of the distal end part of the main body and has a diameter that is expanded and reduced relative to the main body, and a fixing means having an actuating means for actuating the linear member. The medical device has the distal end which is not displaced axially at the arbitrary position in the body cavity since the linear member has the diameter expanded by the actuating means in a manner to make contact with a body cavity wall.
