<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To render the center of gravity of a golf club head low by lightening a crown part without a decrease in durability. <P>SOLUTION: The golf club head 1 is provided with a head body 1M having an opening on the crown part 4 forming the top of the head, a crown member 1C fixed to the head body 1M and a hollow part inside. The crown member 1C consists of a milled steel and has at least one reinforcing rib 8 on the inner side face facing the hollow part side.
