PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure or acquire information on oneself independently of the ambient environmental conditions without causing a safety hazard. SOLUTION: A controller 20 controls: information acquisition cycle of a 2-dimensional light receiver 22; reading data from memory 23; measurement of a distance D to an illuminant 1 whose image is formed on the light receiving surface 221 of the 2-dimensional light receiver 22 according to the size of the image of the illuminant 1 and shape and size data recovered by a data recovery circuit 24 to be explained later; and outputting the result of measurement (operation data) to an output section 25.
