An inner pot of an electric rice cooker is provided to reduce the entire weight of the rice cooker by using magnesium alloy when making the inner pot, instead of aluminum. An inner pot(100) of a light weight electric rice cooker comprises a magnesium alloy layer(110), a stainless steel layer, and an aluminum alloy layer. The stainless steel layer is laid on the magnesium alloy layer. The aluminum alloy layer is located between the magnesium alloy layer and the stainless steel layer.
