<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique of enabling realization of good spot formation by suppressing generation of cross-talk in a line head in which a plurality of light emitting element groups are arranged side by side and a plurality of imaging lenses are arranged by one to one to the plurality of light emitting element groups. <P>SOLUTION: In the line head which has a main scanning group width Gx set larger than a sub-scanning group width Gy, a main scanning group pitch Px is made larger than a sub-scanning group pitch Py.
