PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the space between a pair of two skew correcting rollers for correcting the skew of a sheet and a device or a mechanism disposed on the downstream side of the pair of two skew correcting rollers. SOLUTION: A resist part 30 comprises a pair of skew correction rollers 31, 32 for correcting the skew of a sheet while conveying the sheet at different conveying speeds at both ends of the sheet. The resist part further comprises swing guides 35, 36 disposed on the upstream side of the pair of skew correcting rollers and deflecting the sheet fed thereto. The pair of skew correcting rollers 31, 32 correct the skew of the sheet after the sheet is deflected by the swing guides 35, 36. Consequently, the space between the pair of two skew correcting rollers and the device and the mechanism disposed on the downstream side of the pair of two skew correcting rollers can be reduced.
