A method for delaying or preventing crystallization of materials susceptible to such crystallization by the use of a microencapsulation process is disclosed. The process provides for the use of microcapsules to slow or prevent the crystallization of formulations susceptible to such crystallization. In particular, the method includes a process for delaying or preventing crystallization through the use of encapsulated droplets of a solution of an active material which is substantially insoluble in aqueous conditions, where the encapsulating agent is a film formed from a modified urea-formaldehyde polymer.
