PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress thermal deterioration of a capacitor element formed using a resin film. SOLUTION: In order to achieve the above purpose, this capacitor has a topped cylindrical case 1, a capacitor element 2 housed in the case 1, leads 3, 4 led from the capacitor element 2 to the outside of a lower surface opening of the case 1, and through holes 5, 6 allowing the leads 3, 4 to pierce. The capacitor is provided with a sealed body 7 attached on the lower surface opening of the case 1, and a terminal base 8 provided on the lower surface side of the sealed body 7 and having terminal portions 3a, 4a of the leads 3, 4 attached thereon. The capacitor element 2 has a columnar structure in which a resin film having electrodes on its surface is wound, and a space is formed between the external surface of the capacitor element 2 and the internal surface of the case 1.
