<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep a microorganism phase in an activated sludge tank constant by controlling the ORP in the activated sludge tank without using a large amount of air. <P>SOLUTION: Ozone generated by an ozonizer 3 is supplied by an aeration pipe 2 into a biological treatment tank 1 treating waste water under an activated sludge process together with air or oxygen required to maintain an activated sludge treatment in the biological treatment tank 1. The amount of the supplied ozone is 0.005X-0.5X g per liter waste water flowing into the biological treatment tank 1, wherein X means an organic inflow load in the flowing waste water, the sum total of BOD and organic SS not contained in BOD. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
