<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a balloon catheter which does not cause positional shift of a balloon during expansion since the outer surface of the balloon has a high sliding friction factor, when the constriction part of lumen is expanded. <P>SOLUTION: The balloon catheter includes a shaft having at least one lumen penetrating in the longitudinal direction and a balloon placed at the shaft distal end part.
