<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for optical recording, capable of recording data with optimal recording power, according to the disk recording position. <P>SOLUTION: The device 100 for optical disk recording is provided with an interruption detection part for detecting an interruption position, where data recording in an optical disk 110 is interrupted, a data recording part for recording new data continuously from the data recorded in the optical disk 110, a reproduced signal detection part for detecting the reproduced signal quality at the interruption position, and a recording power deciding part for deciding the recording power for recording new data, according to the reproducing signal quality detected by the reproduced signal detection part.
