PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink-jet recording material, in which no crack develops under the condition that inorganic ultrafine particles are employed in its ink receiving layer and the scraping of recording paper by a head due to a phenomenon so-called cockling, which is the andulation of the surface of a printing part developing by the warp of an ink-jet recording sheet due to the expansion and contraction of a base paper at the jetting of ink to the recording paper during printing, and an ununiform printing are avoided from developing.
SOLUTION: In the ink-jet recording material having at least one ink-receiving layer mainly made of inorganic ultrtafine particles on a support mainly made of wood pulp, at least one back coating layer is provided on the surface opposite to the that of the ink receiving layer of the support. The back coating layer includes a polymeric polymerized substance having a core-shell structure with the glass transition temperature of ≥100°C in its shell part and that of ≤50°C in its core part and colloidal silica, wherein the blending ratio (in mass ratio) of the polymeric polymerized substance to the colloidal silica is set to be 30/100-100/30.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
