<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for suitably regenerating a particulate filter, regardless of a service condition of an internal combustion engine. <P>SOLUTION: The invention is a particulate filter regeneration system of the internal combustion engine for performing PM regeneration processing of the particulate filter by using post-injection from a fuel injection valve, and can prevent an excessive increase in a PM collecting quantity, while restraining dilution of lubricating oil, even when an operation stopping state is repeated before the internal combustion engine becomes a predetermined temperature Tmp or more, by allowing the performance of the PM regeneration processing by lengthening a regeneration interval more than an ordinary time, when the temperature of the internal combustion engine is low. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
