<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress degradation of an emission in an exhaust emission control device including a first gas exhaust passage provided with an HC adsorption material, a second gas exhaust passage formed by by-passing the first gas exhaust passage, and a catalyst provided at a downstream side. <P>SOLUTION: In the system including the first gas exhaust passage 350 provided with the HC adsorption material 340, a by-pass passage 360, a channel switching valve 370 switching a flow passage to either one of the passages, and an underfloor catalyst 330 provided at a downstream side of a junction of the gas exhaust passages 350 and 360, the exhaust is supplied to the first gas exhaust passage 350 by controlling the channel switching valve 370 when the underfloor catalyst 330 is in an inactive state and the system is under a fuel cut operation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
