PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent stagnation of contaminated air near a ceiling surface by efficiently sucking the contaminated air reaching a ceiling without being sucked by a hood portion of a range hood. SOLUTION: A recess 21 for capturing the contaminated air including oily smoke, a combustion gas and the like generated during cooking and not sucked by a suction opening 5 of the hood portion 6, is formed on the indoor ceiling 20 positioned at an upper part of the hood portion 6 of the range hood 1. The contaminated air captured by the recess 21 is sucked from an auxiliary suction opening 13 formed on an upper part with respect to the suction opening 5 of the hood portion 6 of the range hood 1, and discharged from the room.
