The group of inventions relates to cutlery supports, in particular to knife supports, to methods for producing knife supports, to knife supports and to method for placing knives in a support. The inventive knife support comprises a body provided with guides and bearing surfaces for knife blades. The body is formed by sheets of paper which are arranged in a book covers and are fixed in such a way that they can be turned over. The guides are formed by the adjacent sheets of paper which are displaceable with respect to each other when at least one knife blade is introduced therebetween. The knife bearing surfaces are formed by the surfaces of the adjacent pages of said sheets. The invention makes it possible to extend the range of technical means used for this purpose.
