PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact incinerator of high combustion efficiency, generating a smokeless and odorless exhaust gas, remarkably reducing generation of harmful substances such as dioxin, dust and CO, and reducing fuel consumption. SOLUTION: This incinerator is composed of a furnace body 1 comprising a dry distillation gas chamber 2 for dry-distilling and gasifying an incinerated object inside, a heat chamber 4 for incinerating the dry distillation gas generated in the dry distillation gas chamber, a dry distillation gas inflow hole 5 for flowing the dry distillation gas into the heat chamber 4, a combustor 6 for burning the dry distillation gas in the heat chamber 4, and a chimney 12 for discharging an exhaust gas in the heat chamber 4 to the external. The heat chamber 4 is disposed in a state of penetrating through an area of the dry distillation gas chamber 2, and constituted to heat the incinerated object by radiation heat from the heat chamber and generate the dry distillation gas in the dry distillation gas chamber 4, and further an exhaust gas circulating flow channel 8 is formed to return a part of the exhaust gas in the heat chamber 4 to the dry distillation gas chamber 2.
