PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To print a bar-code with uniform quality by providing stable line widths regardless of a bar-code direction. SOLUTION: When the application side of a computer 20 requests data on a bar-code direction, the engine side receives the request. Then image data including bar-code information is inputted via a memory 21 and a bar-code detection means 23, and it is detected that the bar-code direction is vertical or horizontal. The detection result is sent to the application side, and the application side receives the result so as to create data with a bar-code data creating means 24. When the direction is determined to be vertical by a laser writing method determining means 25, the exposure is made with four lasers, and when determined to be parallel, only one laser is emitted to make a control for exposure.
