PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing process of a compressed single wood board by which compressive deformation of the board is firmly fixed by the use of high pressure steam and yet swelling or cracking on the surface of the board is avoided and a compressed wood board being excellent in properties relative to the surface and bending is efficiently and inexpensively manufactured. SOLUTION: The manufacturing process of the compressed wood single board comprises holding the wood board in a hermetically sealable container, subjecting the wood board to a heat and compression treatment in the sealed container, to prepare a compressed wood board with a fixed compressive deformation.
