摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piston cooling system of an internal combustion engine capable of properly controlling oil injection to a piston in response to an operation state of the internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: This piston cooling system is applied to the internal combustion engine 1 having a dry sump type lubricating device 20 supplying oil of an oil tank 21 to a first oil supply object of an engine body 3, by returning the oil to the oil tank 21 via an oil discharge passage 23 by a scavenging pump 25 from the engine body 3, and has an oil jet mechanism 17 arranged separately from the first oil supply object, and has an oil introducing passage 27 connecting the oil discharge passage 23 to the oil jet mechanism 17 and a switching valve 28 capable of switching an introducing destination of the oil delivered from the scavenge pump 25 to the oil tank 21 or the oil jet mechanism 17. An ECU 40 operates the switching valve 28 for introducing the oil to the oil jet mechanism 17 when requiring avoidance of knocking by determining the necessity of avoiding the knocking.
