PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a grinding device with good workability when a lens is attached or detached or a grinding plate is exchanged. SOLUTION: This lens grinding device comprises at least a pressurization shaft 4a, a supporting member 4 supporting the pressurization shaft 4a rotatably and slidably in an axial direction, and an energizing member energizing the pressurization shaft 4a in the axial direction. The device comprises a holding member 6 for holding this pressurization mechanism rotatably between a grinding position, where the energizing force of the energizing member is transmitted to the lens 1 via the pressurization shaft 4a and the lens 1 is pressed to the grinding plate 2, and a retreated position, where a pressurized condition to the grinding plate 2 of the lens by the energizing force of the energizing member via the pressurization shaft 4a is canceled.
