FIELD: mechanics. ^ SUBSTANCE: method is intended for lubricating friction assemblies in whatever machinery wherein long life of friction assemblies is a vital criterion. Proposed method consists in introducing additionally a thin intermediate layer of silicon organic liquids, e.g. olygo dimethyl siloxane. Note that the said intermediate layer liquids and lubricating medium are selected to suit particular combination of a pair of friction and lubricant in compliance with a maximum adhesion of intermediate layer material to metal surface and selected lubricant and with its angle of wetting on surfaces coated with the layer of selected silicon organic liquid. ^ EFFECT: higher wear resistance. ^ 2 cl
