A method for driving an OLED(Organic Light Emitting Display) device is provided to enhance display quality by inserting a sub-frame for representing black during a frame period. One frame(1F) is divided into plural sub-frames(SF1-SF8) more than the number of data bits. The period of the one frame is divided by values, which the number of sub-frames are multiplied with the number of scan lines. The start position of the sub-frames is set based on the bit weighted value of the data so as to represent a gray scale. By dividing the start position by the number of the sub-frames, the rest of respective sub-frames are calculated. The line number of a scan line to be supplied scan signals is obtained using the time of the one frame, start position, and the number of the sub-frames.
