<p>A connection device (8) for connection of a steering wheel column (4) and a crossbeam (2) in a motor vehicle. The crossbeam (2) is releasably arranged in said connection to allow movement backwards relative the steering wheel column (4) when said crossbeam (2) being moved in a direction towards the passenger compartment (7) due to deformation of the vehicle structure in an impact. The present invention aims at reducing the risk for injuries to the occupants involved in frontal, small overlap and oblique impacts .</p> |
