A laminate for color filters is provided to be cured with high sensitivity, to ensure a good pattern forming property, and to form a colored pattern having adhesiveness with a glass supporter, light resistance, and heat resistance. A laminate for color filters has a photocurable colored layer formed on a glass surface by a float process or down-draw process, wherein the photocurable colored layer includes a heterocycle-containing photopolymerization initiator selected from the compounds represented by the following formulae (I)-(V), a colorant, and a compound having an addition-polymerizable ethylenic unsaturated group. A color filter has a colored pattern obtained by subjecting the laminate for color filters to pattern exposure to harden an exposed region of a photocurable colored layer, and developing an unexposed region.
