<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alkaline primary battery having excellent high-rate discharge characteristics by restraining increase of inner resistance of the battery accompanying electric discharge. <P>SOLUTION: A positive electrode of the alkaline primary battery contains nickel oxyhydroxide and λ-manganese dioxide and part of Mn in the λ-manganese dioxide is replaced with at least a type of different element selected from a group consisting of Ni, Co, Ti, Fe, Mg, Zn and Sn. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
