A slat piece for a Venetian blind manufactured a substrate having a front surface 22 having a first longitudinal edge 23, a second opposite longitudinal edge 25, and a first 26, a second 27 and a third 28 adhesive areas and a back surface. The first adhesive area 26 extends along a portion of the front surface 22 that is adjacent to the first longitudinal edge 23, the third adhesive area 28 extends along a portion that is adjacent to the second longitudinal edge 25, and the second adhesive area 27 extends between the first and third adhesive areas 26 28 and divides the front surface 22 into a first 30 and a second 36 empty areas that do not include adhesive. Two alternative methods of folding the substrate to form a Venetian blind slat are disclosed and claimed, one creating two channels 42 either side of the slat, the second creating a single empty channel where the first and second empty areas are coincident with each other 52. |
