A passive cooling system for a fuel cell stack is provided to allow a cooling medium to flow by natural convection without using a pump, thereby reducing the consumption of power. A passive cooling system comprises cooling plates(130) which are installed at a plurality of unit cells of a fuel cell stack(120) for high temperature, have a channel for cooling medium on at least one surface, and are provided with inlets for the cooling medium and outlets for discharging the cooling medium passing the channel; and a heat exchanger(150) which is installed at the cooling channel(140) connected from the outlets to the inlets, takes the heat of the cooling medium to convert the gas phase of the cooling medium into liquid phase, wherein path of the cooling medium comprises a closed circuit, the cooling medium flows by the natural convection due to the boiling of the cooling medium. |
